Let The Children Come

When I wrote the Lamentations Of The Unborn which took me three years to complete; I was very angry inside over the injustices suffered by children particularly the unborn child…I had spent a few years in Ireland working on The Lamentations Of The Unborn when I was met with news about the Ryan Report and other such news items of abuses done to boys and girls in the Irish Industrial School System…Prior to moving to Ireland I was not aware of the industrial scale child abuse then went on in Ireland for more than one hundred years…This was new information and it shook me to my core…It humbled me and I cried and ranted and raved about this terrible travesty…The untold damages done to the Irish Child not just the Irish Child but to children around the globe moved me deeply…While living in Ireland abortion on demand was successfully voted in which upset me more because Ireland was one of the last strongholds against abortion that existed at the time…This was just a few short years ago…This is 2022 this was in 2018 and I lived in Ireland from 2017-2019…When the inalienable right to life is taken from an unborn child mankind becomes alien unto himself…We really do not know the futures stolen from our world due to abortion…Many forget that the unborn child could be a future world leader or a future champion for civil rights…You never know with billions of children around the globe aborted we will never know…Not until the time when all is revealed with the help of heaven…Now that my anger is gone I am going to write my reflections based on Akiane Kramarik’s work titled “akiane – my dream is bigger than I – memories of tomorrow – love is never alone.” (Akiane Kramarik) This is a series of poetry that Akiane wrote as a child that are very profound and speak to me in terms of the silenced voices of the unborn child…In writing the Lamentations Of The Unborn I will also include the children who were systemically and categorically destroyed in industrial schools around the world over the course of Five Hundred Years…The featured Image I choose for this post is of my son and I climbing Croagh Patrick in Ireland in 2017…I feel that by writing The Lamentations Of The Unborn I honor the memories of so many children lost to choices made by mortal man…I wrote a song titled Let The Children Come as a gentle reminder to be not afraid to let your children come…When I picked up Akiane’s book to once more embark on writing The Lamentations Of The Unborn it dawned on me that Akiane’s work already accomplished this task it had to be a child who would write as Akiane did as a child to teach the world to lament the unborn…What I will do instead is sing Holy Scriptures as that is my favorite hobby…
