I like to visit mystical places. The featured image is from my time in Turkey. I visited the Diana site that was considered a world wonder. Not sure if it is still considered a wonder of the world.
Time and Space Continuum
T&SC is an acronym for time and space continuum.
This is an impressive memorial site at a local university. This was done because it was a site used for bonfires by students at the university. Sadly, twelve died and others were injured. This memorial site speaks to me in a Mystical way. Ireland has done bonfires throughout the centuries. A bonfire is an ancient Irish custom.
A Somber Mystical Place
This mystical place is the George Bush Memorial. I am grateful to former President Bush for building this place. When I say Not Smitten, I mean to say that I am not Smitten by power because at the end of the day we all die. When I visited this Memorial, I tried to pay with cash, but they only accept card there. They were very kind and allowed me to stay free of charge since I did not know this. If you do choose to visit this place, be sure to bring a card. People come from all over to visit. I do recommend visiting. When you are there, I do not recommend playing music without a headphone. I asked for permission to play music I was told that was fine as long as the music was not too loud. I was busy reading the history when a song popped up on my song playlist that others found offensive. No one spoke to me directly, so I had no idea. I purchased some quiche for lunch and was approached by the police that monitor that area. The police were very polite and asked me to please step outside. I am very careful when I am approached by police. I do exactly what they say because I do not want any more trouble in my life. The officers allowed me to eat my quiche. They told me that they were asked to give me a criminal trespass warning because the music I was playing disturbed some people. The police asked me how I got there, and I told them. I do not have a car. I also forgot to bring my ID with me that day. The police were able to verify where I live. They gave me a ride home. By the grace of God, I met the lady who took my phone call when I called to apologize profusely for my lack of better judgement regarding the music choice. She told me that I was suspected of calling and leaving threatening voicemails. She told me that they figured out it was not me. I have since written them a letter of apology.
I can see how a song like this would be offensive since this memorial site is somber and demands quiet respect. I do hope and pray that I may be able to return in the future. Maybe they would be willing to consider allowing me to return. I am not a terrorist, and I know former President Bush intensely disliked terrorists. No country wants terrorists usurping the peace. I am embarrassed this happened. There is a time and place for everything and that was not the place for this kind of song. I agree. If I am ever allowed to return, I will observe sacred silence. It is a sacred place because members of the Bush family are buried there. Including the former President. I am grateful I got to go there.
