New Year’s Day 2026

The featured image I chose for this blog post is of the bell tower at Texas A & M University. I celebrated new year’s Day today as follows. I went to breakfast at first watch then saw the movie David. David is an animated movie and it was very good. Afterwards I visited the grounds of Texas A & M University. I enjoy visiting on quiet days when the students are away on holiday.

…I visited the Bonfire Memorial

…On November 18th 1999 twelve students perished…

…I did the Military Walk

…To all the men and women in the military both living and deceased…Thank you for your service…

…I visited The Bell Tower

…I visited The Fountain

I had a lovely day and for those of you not familiar with the Bonfire Memorial. It was erected in memory of twelve students who perished a number of years ago while building a bonfire. There was no fire. However, the tires fell down and killed twelve students. It was a very tragic day that day.

…After I visited the University I went to Sushi Masa

The food at Sushi Masa was very good they give you the option of paying for all you can eat. However, if you do not finish all of your food you cannot take it with you and you must pay extra if you do not eat all of the food. Since it was past lunch time where the all you can eat is twenty dollars. Dinner costs more than thirty for all you can eat. I decided to order what I knew I would eat so my bill came to less than thirty dollars. It was worth it.

Overall a great day. When I visited the Bonfire Memorial before it reminded me of a time and space continuum.

…Thank you for reading this blog post and have a wonderfully blessed and happy new year in 2026…
